As your Congressman I will fight to:
-End Federal Funding for Planned Parenthood
-Stop Federal Funding and Practice of Destructive Embryonic Stem Cell Research
-Overturn Roe V. Wade
-Pass a Constitutional Human Life Amendment
I am 100% Pro-Life!
Life is sacred because we are created in the image of God. Yet today, abortion is the most common surgical procedure. Since the inception of legalized abortion by Roe v. Wade, over 50 million innocent unborn lives have been ended. Abortion not only destroys the lives of innocent children while causing life-long damage to their mothers, but it destroys the moral fabric of our society.
Life begins at conception. This is not a matter of faith, but a matter of fact. Embryology and medical experts agree that a new and unique human with its own distinct genetic code is formed at the moment of fertilization.
Enshrined in our Declaration of Independence are our inalienable rights endowed by our Creator, among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It is evident that Life is the most foundational freedom Americans are granted by God. Government is instituted among men to protect our unalienable rights, none more important than our Right to Life.
I am committed to restoring the sanctity of Life and protecting life at every stage.
Leadership
In order to protect life I will provide Leadership in the following areas:
First, I will fight to eliminate all federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s leading abortion provider. Every year, roughly 1.3 million innocent babies lose their life from abortion. Nearly 1/3 of these abortions are at the hands of Planned Parenthood. Unfortunately, Americans pay for abortions performed at Planned Parenthood with our taxes. It is morally wrong for the federal government to force hard working taxpayers to fund a horrendous act which a majority of Americans adamantly oppose. Therefore, I will fight to end the use of taxpayer funds to support Planned Parenthood as well as work to end their not-for-profit status.
Second, I will fight against the federal funding and the practice of destructive embryonic stem cell research. It is morally wrong to create life for the sole purpose of destroying it. I support adult stem cell research and believe adult stem cells are much more promising in finding cures for diseases.
Next, I will fight to overturn Roe v. Wade and pass a Constitutional Human Life Amendment. This Supreme Court ruling did not defend our inalienable rights endowed by our Creator as enshrined in our Founding documents, but rather legislated that laws protecting innocent life were unconstitutional. We must support and appoint strict Constitutional judges to the Supreme Court who uphold the original intent of our Founding Fathers. Activist judges have taken the power away from the legislative branch and most importantly away from the people. Since they have twisted Constitutional law to fit their political agenda, it is evident we need to pass a Constitutional Human Life Amendment protecting Life at every stage.
Pregnancy Care Centers and Adoption
I support the work of Pregnancy Care Centers who give unsure pregnant women all their options regarding their pregnancy. I am a strong supporter and advocate of adoption. There are thousands of married couples who would love to have a child of their own but are unable to have one as well as families who are willing to welcome additional children into their homes.
